Founded by Mitya Staev as a groundbreaking new genre, Tango with Pole is a soulful fusion of two genres, creating a new form of expression that carries the depth of tango and freedom of pole dance.

Tango with Pole as a genre
“Tango with Pole” as a dance discipline was synthesized in 2015 by multidisciplinary artist Mitya Staev. The mix of Latin American dance techniques in partnership with the pole instantly took its niche, gaining the interest and recognition of the dance world. Most often, this style is defined as an elegant, expressive and contrast dance, combines softness and force, control and fluidity, musicality and charisma of the body. In 2019, the first online course was released, accessible to everyone who wants to study several directions at once and combine them into one dance. Argentinean tango, ballroom dance, and pole dance techniques comprehensively develop your strength and flexibility, body grace, technical performance, confidence. This is an absolutely exclusive product that requires respect yourself and the desire to enjoy yourself in the present moment. The course is available for all levels students, it reveals the choice not only of racing for your best version of yourself but also the attention of the sensation of joy and pleasure from the dance, in accepting your own uniqueness and beauty. 7 video lessons are filled with complex material, various practices of maintaining the body in a confident physical form, 7 unique choreography pieces, work on self-expression and musicality, improvisation, deepening awareness in dance, theoretical knowledge and much more.

Tango with Pole in Turkey
Hugely inspired by Mitya Staev's visionary and bold introduction of the style -Tango with Pole- Ceren (the Baby Gazelle as in her stage name) completed Staev's Tango with Pole Teacher Training course and got certified as a Tango with Pole instructor in 2023.
👠 Ceren Yalın began her dance journey in 2000 as a teacher, choreographer, and dancer with the Boğaziçi University Dance Club (BÜDANS). She later earned the title of Social Latin Dance Trainer from the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports, and went on to teach at Fred Astaire Dance Studios, an international U.S.-based dance franchise.
👠 During her Master’s in Developmental Psychology at Koç University, she focused on Positive Psychology and contributed to the development of the Positive Youth Development (PERGEL) Program as part of Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı’s team. She also conducted research in the U.S. on Positive Movement Experiences, and trained in somatic movement approaches such as Authentic Movement, Leadership Embodiment, and Feldenkrais.
👠 After receiving the ACC credential from the International Coaching Federation, she trained coach candidates in adolescent coaching and somatic coaching. In 2016, she created Dansola, a 48-hour movement-based coaching workshop. By 2023, this program evolved into Organik Hareket Alanı—a series of online workshops blending her 200-hour (RYT) yoga teacher training with the somatic perspective of Organic Intelligence.
👠 While working at AÇEV (Mother Child Education Foundation) as a Project Development Specialist, she founded the Psychosocial Support Group and led movement and mindfulness practices within Employee Wellbeing programs. She continues to coordinate the PERGEL Program and carries out movement-based wellbeing practices with individuals and organizations, including Organik Hareket Alanı.
👠 In her own artistic practice, she brings together pole dance and tango through Tango with Pole workshops and performances. Ceren sees dance as a source of vitality and the most profound form of therapy.
